Thunder hosted the Bulldogs for round two of the Central Victoria Football League Women's and were able to keep the Bulldogs scoreless to see out the game 20.15 (135) over 0.0 (0).
"The team is starting to gel together really well," Thunder president Terry Burt said.
The mammoth win was helped by renowned scorer Britney Mueck booting an impressive 10 goals during the match.
"Britney was a major part of our recruiting for the 2020 season, but then COVID hit," Burt said.
"She was able to see plenty of the ball against the Bulldogs and she looked very comfortable on the field."
Georgia Gordon and Phoebe Cuttriss scored three goals each for the Thunder, while Hannah Perry, Ayrlea Bailey-Mcclanahan, Jacinta Louttit and Shasta Martion kicked one each.
Thunder's best were Imogen Kendal, Sophie Sarre, Mueck, Cuttriss, Perry and Kylie Wilson.
"Imogen played in the ruck, which isn't her usual spot and performed well," Burt said.
"Her first use of the ball was quite exceptional all weekend."
"Unfortunately for North Bendigo the result didn't indicate how well they battled their hearts out and tried as hard as possible considering they didn't quite have all their players out on the park."
Mackenzie Brouwer, Lindsay Arthur, Matilda Henley-Johnstone, Laura Douglas, Madelin Jelbart and Tanika Thomson were best for North.
Overall Thunder were thrilled to be back playing competitive local football after more than 600 days without a game before their one round one match last week against Golden Square.
"The first match was certainly a tough assignment against the reigning premiers, but this week we didn't get blown away and we bounced back well."
Meanwhile in the other round two games Strathfieldsaye Storm made light work of the Kyneton Tigers to secure a 4.11 (35) over 0.4 (4) victory.
The Storm kept the Tigers scoreless up until the final quarter where they were able to score a handful of behinds.
Heidi Erasmus, Natalie Korinfsky, Jordan Savoia, Shannon White, Ursula Van Dyk and Peta Turnbull were best for the Tigers.
Kerang hosted Eaglehawk at home but were unable to tame the visitors who went on a scoring spree to win the match 12.11 (83) over 3.1 (19).
Hawks' Grace Edlin and Ebony Whiley booted three goals each, Lily Den Houting and Taylor Bellesini kicked two each while Eillish Cumming and Jasmine Burzacott scored one each.
Kirstin Shaw, Georgina Hyett, Den Houting, Emily Field, young gun Grace Murley and Burzacott were best for the Hawks.
Kerang's Demi Greenwood, Toni Kelly and Kerri-Ann Zeunert kicked one each for the Blues.
Hannah Stewart, Jemma Meehan, Sophie Peacock, Greenwood, Casy Unger and Kendall Ash were best on.
The round two clash between Golden Square and Kangaroo Flat will be played on May 22.
