Egan won the John Scholes Medal for man of the match after his outstanding 107 from 118 deliveries propelled Prahran to 5-261 from 50 overs.
Dandenong's gallant run chase finished 24 runs short and Prahran celebrated its first flag since 1983-84.
Saturday's knock was Egan's third century of the season. He finished the summer with 779 runs at an average 55.6.
It was his first season with Prahran after crossing from Premier Cricket rival St Kilda.
Egan has previously been part of Cricket Victoria's Futures League Academy winter squad.
His starring role in the grand final triumph should put his name in front of Victorian selectors again for next summer.
