The Zoe Kennedy-led Bulldogs backed up a hard-fought win over Inglewood in round one by defeating Newbridge on its home court 47-18.
While at Calivil, Maiden Gully YCW survived a thriller to defeat the Demons 45-42.
The Eagles, under new coach Jannaya Webb, were able to build on their opening round win over Newbridge with another tough performance and look on track to again be a strong contender this season.
A 29 goal win at Newbridge continued a bright start to the season for Pyramid Hill, which went winless in the last season played in 2019.
A comprehensive team effort was led by exciting youngster Imogen Broad, who was named best on court for her terrific game at centre.
The 16-year-old has only this season stepped up to A-grade and has featured in the Bulldogs' best players in both games this season to earn the praise of her coach.
"She has been great, she reads the play well. She's had a great start to the year," Kennedy said.
"I think we're very lucky to have her."
The Bulldogs were again well served by their tight-knit defence, featuring dual premiership player Abbey Dingwall, Monique Doyle and Caitlyn Murphy.
Most impressive for Kennedy, who is in her second stint as the Bulldogs coach after one season at the helm in 2018, was her side's ability to string together four solid quarters.
"I'm very proud of the girls and the start they were able to put together," she said.
"We were six or seven goals up at quarter time and were able to extend that to about 18 at half time and a bit further as the game progressed.
"(The margin) was a bit of a surprise, but the girls really stuck to our game and the things we wanted to do and that put us in the position we ended up in."
At Mitiamo, the reigning premier Superoos got their premiership defence off to a solid start by defeating Inglewood 61-38.
In round three matches next week, Bridgewater finally gets its season underway against Inglewood, Mitiamo hosts Newbridge in a rematch of the 2019 season grand final and Pyramid Hill plays host to Calivil United, which will be chasing its first win.
