Bendigo Foodshare's Hungry for Change Appeal will take place from April 23 to 25.
The fundraiser is open to all local venues serving meals and drinks - including pubs, restaurants, and cafes.
The businesses have to register as a venue and ask their patrons to donate $5 for their meal order and $1 for their coffee order.
Bendigo Foodshare manager Bridget Bentley said 20 business have already signed up for the fundraiser.
"It brings our community together by encouraging the community to support their local hospitality venues and Bendigo Foodshare at the same time," she said.
"We have this fundraising appeal so we can finance our new home in Garsed Street, move to a bigger warehouse which will double our food storage and distribution capacity, and create a community food hub."
The Hungry for Change Appeal follows the Bendigo's Biggest Takeaway event, which raised more than $14,000 for Bendigo Foodshare in September.
Ms Bentley said with Bendigo support services reporting a 30 per cent increase in demand, next weekend's appeal could make a real difference.
"It's a win-win," she said. "We're not asking anything from our businesses other than to put the posters up and we're encouraging the community to support their local business."
Edwards Providore in Kennington is one of the many Bendigo businesses participating in the fundraiser.
Owner Mandy Edwards said while her business already supported Bendigo Foodshare, she wanted to give back further.
"Get out and support the hospitality industry, which has obviously had some troubled times," Mrs Edwards said.
"It's a win-win for everybody. It's a win for Bendigo Foodshare but that trickles down to people in need."
Ms Bentley said people who wanted to donate, learn more, or register their business for the Hungry for Change Appeal should visit bendigofoodshare.org.au/hungryforchange
