All talk and no action
It has come to the point where it is impossible to believe anything that comes out of Scott Morrison's mouth, with the handling of anything - particularly the vaccine roll-out, which can only be described as nothing short of a dog's breakfast.

Now it is reported the EU are not withholding any shipments of the vaccine. So who is allegedly lying?
We have a government full of lame ducks, with diversion tactics front and centre of announcements, with all talk and no action.
If they deem it positive, straight out of the blocks; if not, nowhere to be seen.
The committee for the prevention of women's rights is allegedly made up of some who were the problem in the first instance. For example, the "Prime Minister" for women was nowhere to be seen when the uproar about the way women were being treated in Parliament House was erupting. Now she claims she is going to fix everything. Words are cheap, proactive action is required - not talkfests.
The whole of government is on notice, and frankly if anyone in the private sector would employ them - and that is a big 'if' - they would certainly have been given their marching orders well before now.

Documentary screening
I have written many letters to this newspaper about the need to address climate change and, as the years pass by without any, that need becomes more and more dire.
Unfortunately, together with our overuse of fossil fuels goes our logging of old growth forests. When you consider the rainforests are the lungs of the Earth, and are vital in the conversion of carbon dioxide back into oxygen, this destruction is disastrous.
We need to transition to renewables and return to the use of plantation timber only.
Unless we immediately stop the mining of fossil fuels and the logging of old growth forest, there is very little hope we will come anywhere near meeting our Paris emissions target; and, much more seriously, we will very likely cause global heating that will lead to runaway climate change.
The Bob Brown Foundation has been campaigning for many years against the logging of old growth forests and has recently released new documentary Forest Defenders.
It tells the story of a small, dedicated band of people, fighting to save the forest of the Tarkine in north-west Tasmania. The film is being screened at 7.30pm on Thursday April 29 at the Theatre Royal in Castlemaine.

And, in response...
I would like to reply to Ken Price's recent missive about my letter. To put it bluntly, I am not insinuating anything. The ABC is transparently Leftist, and the campaign against Christian Porter is aimed at discrediting him, by extension the Prime Minister, and by further extension, the government.
The reason the current rabble are the government is because they were considered a better bet than the other rabble. The Labor/Green coalition were seen as a 'Rabble without a clue'. It disgusts me while there are women in Australia today, for whom violence and sexual assault are a part of life, there is a crusade to destroy one man, to score political points instead. Despicable.
