Spring Gully Respiratory Clinic will begin its vaccination program on Wednesday, set to offer about 500 shots a week at its maximum.
Clinic director Ewa Piejko said the opening would increase access to COVID-19 vaccinations in Bendigo, as the clinic had more doses available than many GP clinics.

Dr Piejko said the clinic could administer the vaccine to anyone in phase 1b of the rollout.
This includes healthcare workers, adults over 70, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged over 50, adults with specific medical conditions and critical and high risk workers.
Dr Piejko said the clinic's vaccine program was booked up for nearly two weeks after the opening. She said the clinic had employed about 20 new casual staff to run the program, as well as bringing in new onsite offices.
Dr Piejko recommended anyone with chronic illness, or undergoing chemotherapy, or on immune suppressants discuss vaccination with their specialist or GP before booking.
She said the Spring Gully clinic could also offer vaccines to people who did not have access to Medicare, such as refugees. These would be totally free, she said.
Dr Piejko said to receive the vaccine people needed to make an online appointment, make sure they meet the phase 1b eligibility criteria, and sign a consent form.
Other news:
She said the clinic would continue to offer respiratory assessments and COVID-19 testing on Mondays and during the afternoons, while offering vaccinations during the morning Tuesday to Saturday.
All COVID-19 vaccinations are free.
