* Health Minister Greg Hunt said Australia's domestic AstraZeneca vaccine supply is fundamental to the national rollout despite concerns over a Melbourne man being admitted to hospital with a rare blood clotting disorder.

* The Therapeutic Goods Administration is investigating this case and working with international experts and regulators.

* Mr Hunt said anyone susceptible to blood clotting should seek advice from their GP before going ahead with the jab.

* The number of GPs and special clinics providing the jabs will increase from 1500 to over 3000 by the end of this week and to over 4000 by the end of April around the country.

* Labor's health spokesman Mark Butler has again been quick to point out that the government had promised to dole out four million doses of the vaccine by the end of March, but has yet to reach a million.

* Senior federal minister Peter Dutton said the rollout was being done in an orderly fashion as Australia was not in the same state of "mad panic" as the US and UK.

* NSW Health will open another 36 vaccine clinics in the next week, after already opening 79 at its health services and the federal government agreeing to accept its help.

* The state has administered 126,494 vaccines so far, with 1299 coming in the 24 hours to 8pm Saturday.

* Temporary restrictions will remain in the northern NSW spots of Tweed Shire, Ballina Shire, Byron and Lismore until 11.59pm Monday.

* Queensland has recorded a single new COVID-19 infection in hotel quarantine as it investigates limiting the number of hospitals treating positive cases to prevent virus spread.

* Two clusters that triggered a lockdown of more than two million people have been independently linked to Brisbane's Princess Alexandra Hospital staff and patients have been moved from its infectious disease ward.

* Queensland currently has 72 active cases and Health Minister Yvette D'Ath says she is positive about progress following the lockdown, given high testing numbers and low rates of community transmission.

* South Australia reported a man in his 40s remains in the Royal Adelaide hospital in a critical condition.

* Australia reported no locally-acquired cases of the coronavirus on Sunday. There were seven overseas-acquired cases reported in hotel quarantine: three in Western Australia, and one each in NSW, Queensland, South Australia and the Northern Territory.

* The national death toll is 909: Victoria 820, NSW 56, Tasmania 13, WA 9, Queensland 6, SA 4, ACT 3 (Two Queensland residents who died in NSW have been included in the official tolls of both states).
