A WOMAN will face court after police nabbed a vehicle travelling at 116 kilometres an hour on the McIvor Highway at Longlea.

State Highway Patrol officers intercepted the vehicle on Saturday evening.
Police allege the driver, a 43-year-old woman, recorded a blood alcohol concentration of 0.142 when breath tested.
The woman's licence was suspended and her car was impounded for a month. The vehicle will cost $1200 to retrieve.

The woman will be charged on summons with speeding and drink driving offences.
Police are in the midst of a five-day operation aimed at reducing road trauma.
Operation Nexus started on Thursday and ends at 11.59pm on Monday.
Victoria Police said motorists could expect to be breath tested, drug tested, be checked for speeding and have their vehicles scanned during the road safety blitz.
