Robert Spencer is celebrating completing his challenge of drinking, photographing and reviewing a different craft beer each day.
He has amassed more than three thousand Instagram followers under his handle @365daysofbeer over the journey that proved to be more difficult and expensive than he anticipated, yet rewarding.
"I tried to do it back in 2007 and 2008 as a university student and attempted to drink a different beer every day but I got to about 100 days and couldn't afford to do it so packed it in," he said.
"I have an interest in photography and wanted to take a nice photo of them all and then I hit the point of no return."
The rise in popularity of craft beer since his last attempt also helped with no shortage of crazy flavours to try, from chocolate milk to fruit varieties.
"With the way the craft beer scene is, you could find 100 beers a day if you wanted to," he said. "The industry is booming. It is really thriving and I think if you do it well you can create a good business. But it is pretty divided, you are either into it or you are not. You are a purist or into the crazy stuff with the interesting flavours."

He admits he had little idea about the brewing process before the project.
"I still am a complete amateur at reviewing beers but have learnt a lot about the industry and might look at brewing my own beer," he said. "The whole process of taking a photo, editing it, getting it uploaded and writing a review took a lot of time."
Mr Spencer has chosen 10 of his favourite beers to be on tap with prizes on offer on the night.
"I want to thank my followers for the support and keeping me motivated. It was a lot of fun and it was worthwhile," he said.
"It was challenging to stay motivated and the whole process of taking a photo and making it look as good as it possibly could would take about two hours."
Mr Spencer said while he was looking forward to not having to maintain his posting schedule is looking forward to taking on a new challenge when the time is right.
"I don't want to give it in because it would feel like a part of me has gone missing, but I will take a break. I want to keep my page active and have something to work on," he said.
