Samantha Lyndell Azzopardi will plead guilty to taking several children after lying to their parents about being a qualified au pair in her latest fraud.

The 32-year-old conned several families into believing she was a nanny named Harper Hernandez and took off when one couple became suspicious.

She was arrested in Bendigo in 2019 with two children whose parents had fallen for her fraud.

Azzopardi was due to face a committal hearing in Melbourne Magistrates Court on Tuesday, with witnesses including Tom and Jazze Jervis, who hired her as an au pair between December 2018 and June 2019.

But the case resolved and prosecutor Kristie Churchill revealed Azzopardi would plead guilty to seven charges.

Local families are not alone in falling victim to Azzopardi's lies, with foreign governments also being duped.

In 2013 she cost the Irish government hundreds of thousands of dollars after showing up in central Dublin, duping authorities into believing she was a teenage sex trafficking victim from Eastern Europe.

After being deported she showed up in Canada, where she said she was a victim of sexual assault and torture.

In Australia, she convinced a Perth family she was a Russian gymnast named Emily whose entire family had been killed in a murder-suicide in France.

She's been caught in Sydney too, passing herself off as a schoolgirl more than half her age.

On Tuesday Ms Churchill revealed Azzopardi would plead guilty to three charges of child stealing and to obtaining $6250 by deception from the Jervis family.

Ms Churchill expects Azzopardi will also admit theft of an iPad, handling stolen goods and causing a false report to be made to police about child welfare concerns and physical assaults.

She did not apply for bail and is expected to return to court on April 27.
