It comes after the high points in the Christian, Jewish and Muslim 2020 calendars fell during Victoria's COVID-19 lockdowns.
Central Victoria's Jewish community marked the Passover on Sunday, the annual celebration of God freeing their ancestors from slavery in Egypt.
Other news:
Christians will celebrate Easter this coming weekend, during which they will remember the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Goldfields Jewish community (kehillat s'dot zahav) founding co-president Howard Nathan said it was at once sweet and bitter to mark the Passover together again.
Mr Nathan said the theme of liberation - that it was better to be free than comfortable as a slave - was particularly poignant this year.
He said members of the community gathered in person and on Zoom to sing the traditional stories.
"It was terrific, absolutely wonderful, I sang myself hoarse," Mr Nathan said.
Bendigo Baptist senior Pastor Dave Lovell said it would be very special to celebrate one of the biggest weekends in the Christian calendar face to face again.
Twelve months ago the church was livestreaming its services, along with those around the state.
Mr Lovell said he expected full services right through from Maundy Thursday, to Good Friday and Easter Sunday. He encouraged Bendigo community members to join the church as it gathered to celebrate.
"There's something about being in person, that you can't capture when you're simply online, when you're live streaming an event," Mr Lovell said.
"Being together with other believers in the Christian faith is very special."
