It will need 45 extra donors to come forward on both April 3 and 5 to bolster supplies for cancer, road trauma and others in need over the holiday period.
Spokesperson Shae Burns said Easter is one of the most challenging times of the year to collect blood and plasma, "especially now restrictions have lifted in many parts of the country and people can travel ... the need for blood never stops."
More news:
Ms Burns said one component of blood called platelets had a shelf life of only seven days.
"So it's important that blood is donated during and after the Easter break. Cancer patients in particular rely upon platelets to help them through their chemotherapy treatments."
To book, call 13 14 95, visit lifeblood.com.au or download the Donate Blood app.
