MELBOURNE United produced a stirring second-half comeback to defeat the New Zealand Breakers in their NBL match at the Bendigo Stadium on Thursday night.

A major upset loomed when the Breakers led United 54-38 at half-time.
However, United rallied after the main break, trimming the margin to six points at three quarter-time before finishing with a 23-14 last term to record an 82-79 victory.
United had trailed by as many as 18 points, with the deficit the biggest the club has overcome to win.
Guard Mitch McCarron was United's standout player with 16 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, while Shea Ili (13), captain Chris Goulding (12) and Jock Landale (12) also scored in double figures for United, which improved to 12-5 with the win.
Finn Delany led the Breakers' scoring with 17 points, while Jeremy Kendle in his return to Bendigo contributed 13 points. The Breakers are now 4-11.
