STRATHFIELDSAYE is the Bendigo District Cricket Association's under-16 Twenty20 premier after beating Strathdale-Maristians in Tuesday's grand final.
The Jets recorded a 21-run victory after successfully defending their score of 93.
Man-of-the-match Dev Singh top-scored for the Jets with 29 off 20 balls opening the batting, with he and skipper Jasper Cheesman (17) putting on 42 for the first wicket.
Singh struck five boundaries in his knock.
Contributions from Aston Wilson (14) and Campbell Tangey (10) also helped the Jets to their winning total.
The standout with the ball for the Suns was Jack McCullough (3-13), who was among five Strathdale players to take a wicket.
In reply, Strathdale openers Brodie Reaper (18) and Senna Marsili (9) got the Suns away to a solid start with a 27-run stand.
However, the Jets gained the upper hand, taking 4-7 to put the Suns on the back foot at 4-34, before their innings ended in the 19th over when all out for 72.
Spinner Singh capped a fine all-round game by taking 2-10 off three overs, while Jedd O'Keefe (2-8) and Wilson (2-15) also claimed two wickets for the Jets.
Tadhg McBurney (20) at No.4 was the best with the bat for the Suns.
The Jets now have the chance to complete a flag double having already won their way through to the under-16 grand final in the season-proper.
