Lavey and Madgen are part of the 17-player squad who will attend the pre-Tokyo Olympics camp on the Gold Coast from March 22-28.
Head coach Sandy Brondello said the camp would build on the foundations created during the past four years.
"With squad members and coaches based around the world, we will have limited opportunities to train and play together in the lead up to the Tokyo Olympic Games," Brondello said.
"It's an intense and demanding camp schedule but it's important we maximise this time on the Gold Coast to support our long-term ambition of claiming gold in Tokyo.
"I know everyone is excited and raring to go, so I'm expecting a high quality, competitive and successful seven days in camp."
The women's basketball competition for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games will feature 12 teams and will be contested between 26 July - 8 at the Saitama Super Arena in Tokyo, with the Opals ranked world number two.
