Two young people were taken to hospital following the incident on March 4.
A Department of Justice and Community Safety spokesperson said the young people were taken to Bendigo Hospital for further assessment, "as a precautionary measure".
Paramedics assessed two people at the scene, an Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said.
"A man in his 20s was taken to hospital in a stable condition with minor injuries," the spokesperson said.
Paramedics were called to the incident just before 5pm.
"The department takes the safety and security of all staff and young people seriously," the Department of Justice spokesperson said.
"Violent behaviour or assaults at youth justice centres are absolutely unacceptable."
