
A MAN'S car has been impounded at a cost of $1005 after police saw him accelerate heavily in Echuca.
Police say they witnessed the man accelerate heavily, causing his wheel to screech, lose traction with the road and slide through the intersection at Anstruther and High streets.

The black Holden station wagon was impounded on the spot for 30 days. The man is expected to be charged on summons with driving offences.
