A MAN is in a stable condition at the Royal Melbourne Hospital after a crash in Lockwood on Monday.
The man was transported to Bendigo Health initially, then later taken to the Royal Melbourne.

THE 65-year-old man is in a serious but stable condition, an Ambulance Victoria spokesperson says.
The man was taken to Bendigo Health for multiple injuries.

A 65-year-old man is fighting for his life following a crash in Lockwood.
Police are investigating whether the man swerved his car to avoid a tree branch.
The man was driving towards Bendigo on Crusoe Road when he lost control and crashed into a tree, Sergeant Geoff Annand said at the scene of the incident.

The man has been transported by road to Bendigo Health after an air ambulance was turned around at the crash scene.
Ambulance Victoria cannot yet confirm whether the chopper was unable to land or whether the man will be air lifted.
Police have confirmed the man sustained life-threatening injuries.
They anticipate the road reopening this afternoon.
Sergeant Annand said the crash was a reminder that drivers need to adapt to the conditions.
"They should be adjusting their speed in this first rain for a little while," he said. "Roads can be greasy. Even though it's 100km/h now, it does not mean it's an appropriate speed to be travelling at."

An SES crew has safely removed someone trapped in their car after a crash along Crusoe Road.
The man was trapped for about an hour.
He is now being treated at the scene.
An air ambulance has flown over Bendigo towards the crash site.

Paramedics are treating a male believed aged in his 70s at the scene of the crash, Ambulance Victoria has confirmed.
He is still trapped in the car.
An air ambulance has been dispatched to the scene.

An SES crew is trying to rescue someone trapped after their vehicle hit a tree in Lockwood.
The person is on the drivers' side of the car.
Emergency services are reporting back that they are having issues with traffic in the area.
While they have thanked people for stopping to help at the scene they are worried it could now create challenges for the rescue operation.
Police are on scene.
Both lanes of Crusoe Road are understood to be blocked.
