The powerful Peter and Paul Snowden stable produced Frostin' to score its first career win in Tuesday's opening event at the BJC.
Frostin had previously ran second to Tycoon Humma at Bendigo on Marong Cup day.
Tycoon Humma then came out and won impressively at Flemington on Saturday.
Punters followed the lead and backed Frostin' into an odds-on favourite on Tuesday.
With John Allen in the saddle, Frostin jumped to the front and proved too strong for gallant Brent Stanley-trained first-starter Wegottemtoday Son.
The Snowden stable weren't the only connections smiling after Frostin's victory.
The two-year-old is the half-brother of Bendigo trainer Shane Fliedner's smart filly St Edward's Crown.
Frostin was purchased by the Snowden team for $60,000 at last year's Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale.
Frostin's victory was the first leg of a winning double for the stable.
Later in the day, Gunmetal Girl raced to back-to-back wins when she won the Race Services Class 1 Handicap (1300m).
