More news:
On Monday, clinical nurse consultant Nicole Harper became the first Bendigo Health staff member to receive a vaccination.
She got the shot in Stewart Street and has screened more than 4000 people for COVID-19 since the onset of the pandemic.
"I feel really honoured to receive this," she said.
"The pandemic has been a rollercoaster, especially during the busy periods, where you do have concerns about transmission to family and friends."
Aged care residents were the first in Bendigo to be vaccinated in late February and health care workers are among priority groups.
