On the back of securing the services of Tess Madgen and Abbey Wehrung, the Braves have added Bendigo Spirit guard Cassidy McLean.
McLean had signed with the Braves for the 2020 NBL1 season, but the competition was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
McLean made great strides with the Spirit in the 2020-21 WNBL season and looks set to play a key role for the Braves.
"It was a priority to bring Cass back to our team for 2021,'' Braves coach Mark Alabakov said.
"The way she carries herself, fits the culture, competes on the floor and leaves no stone unturned in getting better at her game are all things that resonate with me in a big way.
"She's a winner and has been successful over and over in her career, able to recreate that individual and team success in different scenarios in her career to date.
"She too is another athlete that is red-lining on the brink of breaking through to the next level and cementing herself as a guard to watch on the national scene.
"I'm a big believer in her game, her approach and who she is as a person. She wears a big smile, but inside has a fighter's mentality on court - which is exactly what we're about."
Originally from Newcastle, McLean was part of the Australian team which won the gold medal at the 2016 FIBA Under-17 World Championships in Spain.
McLean's signing was crucial after Tessa Lavey left the Braves to sign with NBL1 South rival the Frankston Blues.
The NBL1 season starts on the weekend of April 16-18.
