A DIGGERS Rest man has had his drivers licence immediately suspended for 12 months after police found him speeding with cannabis and alcohol in his system on the Calder Freeway on Wednesday.

Macedon Ranges Highway Patrol officers detected 35-year-old driving a grey Holden sedan at 141km/h in a 110km/h section of the Calder Freeway.
When they pulled the driver over and breath tested him, police found an alleged breath alcohol concentration of 0.150.

An oral fluid test conducted on the man also indicated the presence of cannabis.
"Police are disappointed at the level of risk taking, putting other road users in danger," Sergeant Mark Stephenson.
"This behaviour won't be tolerated, we will continue to use all tools in the toolkit to remove dangerous drivers from the roads."
