Echuca's paddle steamer fleet will host a series of live music performances announced by the Riverboats Music Festival.
The Riverboats Cruising event will be held over three-days from April 16 to 18 and will replace this year's Riverboats Festival which was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Henry Wagons, Bob Evans, Thando and The Horns of Leroy, and Jen Cloher will perform at the event which is made up of eight intimate live shows aboard the paddlesteamers.
Director David Frazer said he was excited to present a new event in the wake of February's Riverboats Festival being cancelled.
"While COVID sadly forced the cancellation of Riverboats in 2021, we're so excited to be bringing some of our most beloved artists back to Echuca-Moama for this incredible series of intimate gigs," he said.
"Echuca's paddle steamers are just superb, and to be able to kick back with a drink as you meander down the Murray listening to these artists is a truly unique experience"
Last week, Mr Frazer and the Riverboats Festival signed an open letter to the federal government calling for the extension of JobKeeper for the music and live entertainment sector.
He said if JobKeeper was extended beyond March it could spell the end for some festivals and events.
"(The government) has to start looking at industry-by-industry support (for JobKeeper) rather than blanket coverage," he said.
"Events and festivals won't be seen again. They can't hibernate another 12 months - that was the impetus for (the open letter) to happen.
"We had to make call in October to cancel the 2021 (Riverboats Festival). At end of March, with no JobKeeper, where does that leave us? The harsh reality is I could still be a year from being paid."
Riverboats Cruising produced by the team behind the Riverboats Music Festival in partnership with Creative Victoria.
Echuca Moama's Riverboats Festival is scheduled to return from February 18 to 20, 2022.
