There are 25 known active cases of the virus in the state.

It comes after three new locally-acquired cases of the virus on Friday, all linked to an outbreak at the Holiday Inn Melbourne Airport.

Two parents and a child, all from the same family, tested positive to COVID-19 while quarantining at home during their infectious period.

Their positive tests came through on Day 11 of their quarantine period, which was February 18, after having previously tested negative.

Two of the family's members were primary close contacts in the outbreak, after being residents in the Holiday Inn.

A third family member was considered a secondary close contact. He had been required to remain in quarantine after choosing to stay in the house with his family after they had been identified as primary close contacts.

One of the positive cases connected to the Holiday Inn outbreak is in ICU. They were in a stable condition on Friday.

The Holiday Inn case in ICU was the only COVID-19 patient in hospital in Victoria on Friday.

There are 3515 primary close contacts linked with the Holiday Inn outbreak, 59 of which are linked to households and social groups.

More than 1352 of the primary close contacts are linked to exposure sites. The rest are from hotel quarantine or Melbourne Airport Terminal 4.

More than 900 people remain primary close contacts of an outbreak at another hotel quarantine site, the Grand Hyatt.
