FAMILY HISTORY GROUP
The Bendigo Family History Group is hosting their February general meeting with special guest speaker, Bendigo Regional Archives Centre Officer, Desiree Pettit-Keating, BBus BA Grad Dip (LAFH).
Desiree Pettit-Keating will be speaking on the topic of Problem Solving in the Archives.
It's one thing to see a catalogue of an archive's collection - but another to see how they can help in practice.
Pettit-Keating will explore records kept at BRAC with a view to how they can be used and the type of problems they can solve.
Stay for a cup of tea and feel welcome to enjoy the meeting.

GIRL GUIDES
Girl Guides Victoria is committed to providing quality girl-led guiding programs for girls and women to inspire them to be more courageous.
The Bendigo District Girl Guides is seeking expressions of interest for a come and try Guides event.
This event will show what being a Girl Guide is about, in a friendly and supportive environment.

GROW GROUPS
Are you depressed, anxious, isolated, suffering grief or loss or know someone who is?
Grow groups meet weekly to offer peer support and use a proven educational program for mental wellbeing.

SPRING GULLY DANCE
Back in action after the COVID-19 break, the Sping Gully Dance committee will get together for an evening of community fun.
Keith and Corrie will provide a great program and CD music.
With COVID-19 restrictions being adhered to, there will be a light supper with tea and coffee and individually wrapped biscuits.
Admission $4, all welcome.

YEAR OF THE OX
The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion invites all to celebrate Lunar New Year 2021.
Come together with your family and friends and celebrate the Year of the Ox.
There will be various events, activities and processions to view, receive a new year fortune, place wishes of new beginnings on the Bodhi trees, enjoy a tour of the Great Stupa, see the Jade Buddha, bathe the Baby Buddha, enjoy vegan and vegetarian foods and much, much more.

BENDIGO PARKRUN
Put on your running shoes and head to the Kennington Reservoir.
This parkrun is not a race against others but is a timed 5km run, jog or walk.
Enjoy it as a training plan or just a fun outdoor activity.

FAIRS AND FESTIVALS
MALDON ANTIQUE FAIR
Celebrate the scenic town of Maldon for their 13th Antique Fair.
There will about 120 stalls of collectables and antiques with all the usual dealers and some newcomers.
Stay the weekend, enjoy the towns charm and find yourself a bargain.
$5 entry, children free enty.

WELLBEING AND PSYCHIC EXPO
The Bendigo Wellbeing and Psychic Expo will feature psychics, mediums, tarot card readers, alternative health and wellbeing practitioners.

BENDIGO AND CENTRAL GOLDFIELDS BUSH POETS
Bendigo Goldfields Bush Poets present their first concert for 2021.
There will be lots of great entertainment, bush poetry, music and yarns as well. Walk up bush poets or musicians are welcome.
COVID-19 regulations will apply regarding contact tracing, sanitisers etc.
Join in for tucker from noon at the club, with the free concert beginning at 1pm.

MOVIE MONTH
Loddon Campaspe Multicultural Services invite those aged between 12 and 25 to join for a series of movie nights.
This event is for those from the multicultural community and will run every Saturday in February.

EXHIBITIONS
ART COLLECTION
In addition to the regular exhibitions the Central Goldfields Art Gallery has, there will also be pop-up exhibitions throughout the new year.
The pop-up exhibitions will feature artists who reside in the Central Goldfields region.

OLD TARNAGULLA IN COLOUR
Tarnagulla History Archive presents Old Tarnagulla In Colour, an exhibition of historical photographs which have been scanned, digitally restored, "colourised" and reprinted.
The images were created and restored digitally by business Circa in a process which also involves research with a local historian.
People can buy print copies of the images.

FAR FROM THE EYE
La Trobe University is pleased to announce a new exhibition by Danica Chappell.
This exhibition is in conjunction with PHOTO 2021 International Festival of Photography and features a major new series of work by the Australian photographer.
These images respond to the nature of the paper, chemicals and processes of photographic production and the works explore her history in photography.
