The works are part of the the state government's will take place two-year $635.5 million investment into rebuilding and resurfacing the state's roads as part of the state budget.
They are scheduled to be completed between February 16 and March 9.

"The vital road maintenance works on the Calder Highway between Malmsbury and Macedon are part of our $80 million investment to rebuild, strengthen and resurface key roads across Northern Victoria," a Department of Transport spokesperson said.
"These works will begin on Tuesday, February 16, during the five-day circuit breaker action to take advantage of the quieter conditions on the Calder and kickstart this essential maintenance."
As part of the works, lane closures will be in place at several locations along the Calder Highway between Malmsbury and Macedon.
Traffic management will be in place at various sections. Motorists are asked obey temporarily changed speed limits and allow extra time for their journey.
