Piper Dunlop and Dyson Daniels will travel to the Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence in Canberra later this month for a four-day camp.
The intensive camp will see athletes from across Australia travel to the CoE where they will undertake high-performance training in the lead up to Worlds which are scheduled to be held mid-2021 in Europe.
The men (Emus) tournament is scheduled to take place from July 3-11 with the location still to be confirmed while the women (Gems) are set for August 7-15 in Debrecen, Hungary.
Dunlop heads into 2021 on the back of her debut WNBL season last year with the Villawood Properties Bendigo Spirit where she appeared in 13 games averaging 2.4 points per game and 1.4 rebounds, highlighted by a season-high seven points against Melbourne Boomers on December 5.
Daniels continues to improve on the court and has been gaining experience as an NBA Global Academy player in addition to plenty of time with several Braves squads.
BA head of high performance and national teams Jan Stirling said the camp marked the start of a crucial journey for the athletes.
"This camp signifies the start of an important journey for our national Under-19 men's and women's teams, as we look to medal at both World Cups later this year," Stirling said.
"Australian basketball through its connected high performance pathway and elite coaching continues to produce world class talent, which is reflected in the strength of the squads that have been named for our preliminary camp later this month.
"Both the Emus and Gems will be led by experienced coaching personnel at this year's Worlds and we look forward to seeing the progression of both squads over the coming months."
The Emus will be coached by David Perry who led the squad to gold at both the FIBA Oceania and FIBA Asia tournament in 2017 and 2018.
The women will have David Herbert as coach after the former WNBL Coach of the Year stepped up to the top job after being an assistant with the Gems 2019 Under 19 World Cup silver medal team.
