The first section of the mistruths he has written does not even deserve the courtesy of a response, except to ask how was he privy to the statement ''I must admit government ministers and staff were beautifully coached by their army of legal advisers'' and these comments suggest that Mr Smallpage was present at the meetings held between government staff and their legal advisers prior to the commission sitting.
I doubt he was at that meeting, therefore how can he say ''they were beautifully coached''? Hypocrisy at its best.
Then Mr Smallpage continues his attacks on our state government in his comment regarding the 800 deaths. Mr Smallpage needs to be reminded that the majority of the 800 deaths that were attributed to COVID-19 in Victoria occurred in federal controlled aged care facilities, and these aged care facilities were the responsibility of our federal government, falling under the Commonwealth Health Care Act, introduced by the Howard government and under the direction of Federal Minister Colbeck (or should have been).
However, Mr Smallpage fails to mention that in the state controlled aged care facilities the deaths from COVID-19 were zero - and I repeat that number ZERO. Therefore it may be prudent if Mr Smallpage checks his facts before writing hypocritical mistruths in the hope some gullible citizens will take his comments as gospel.

Should our federal government do more?
To read Peter Walsh's letters one would form the opinion that Australia doesn't have a federal government. I get the distinct impression he wants the states to do all the hard work, while his colleagues in Canberra sit back and take all the credit.
At the very least I hope he sends letters to Messrs McCormack and Morrison suggesting what they can contribute.

Our united nation
The arguments continue regarding Australia Day, but is there such a thing as " Australia."
The LNP Government tells us that we live in an economy, not a society, politically orchestrated division, principally driven by religion and wealth. Money is God. Greed is a virtue, every person for themselves, and inequality rules. Not the country us baby boomers were born into.
