Blues musicians will share the stage in a fundraiser to help the Union Street Blues Club support student performers.

Union Street Blues Club president Ted Bullow said the members were happy to be back on stage again.
"When COVID happened (it) finished off a couple of gigs (last year)," he said. "Now we are just back to being able to use facilities at the All Seasons.
"Once the funds are raised, we get vouchers to the colleges in Bendigo for music scholarships at the end of the year. It also helps pay for a few of our running costs.

"The aim of this Sunday to raise funds with a cover charge and maybe run some little raffles through the day to raise a bit extra."
The club formed over 15 years ago as a way for like-minded musicians to play together. It has since helped form a number of Bendigo bands, some of which will perform on Sunday.
"This week we have got the Friday group, which is mostly retirees, called Lost in Transit and another little group that practice with us called The Fringe Dwellers," Mr Bullow said. "Another play is The Flannos, who have got a bit of a name around town. They're all members of the club."
"We have about 40 members and formed as a blues club to give everyone chance to get up and play music, it doesn't matter how good you are. As the years evolved, we have had bands form their own group and work outside club for themselves but when comes to raising money, they are all wiling to give their time.
The Union Street Blues Club fundraiser is at the All Season hotel on Sunday, February 7, from 1pm. Tickets are $5.
