Plans for Spring Design and Development's 202-room hotel are before the city council following slight amendments.
An awning has been added to drawings for two of the hotel's frontages, along Mollison Street and part of Williamson Street.
It comes in response to the city council's concerns about weather protection.

The brick arches that dominate the hotel facade at street level have also been further extended around the corner of Mollison and Williamson streets.
Plans for the multi-million dollar hotel - proposed for a block of land fronting Williamson, Mollison and McLaren streets - were on advertisement until last week.
Spring Design and Development directors Rachel and Peter Irons were aware of a couple of objections, but "nothing unexpected in the process".
"We actually have had quite positive feedback," Ms Irons said.
Plans for the restaurant, wine bar and day spa were among the aspects the developers were asked about most.
Ms and Mr Irons were pleased with the way council had been working with them.
Bendigo council decided to refer the proposed addition of a heritage overlay on part of the hotel site to an independent panel for review.
"We'll be participating in that process," Ms Irons said.

Meanwhile, the town planning permit process continues.
"We're still hopeful we'll be able to break ground this year," Ms Irons said.
She believed the COVID-19 pandemic had meant people had been discovering regional locations.
Once people had discovered destinations like Bendigo, Mr and Ms Irons believed they would keep returning.
Mr Irons saw parallels between what MONA had done for Hobart and what the Bendigo Art Gallery was doing for tourism in Bendigo, combined with the city's events, cultural and epicurean attractions.
