Emergency service crews are responding to an oil spill spanning hundreds of metres on High Street and Sailors Gully Road, Eaglehawk, between Victoria and Hodgson Streets.
A VicEmergency alert said there is no immediate threat to the community and no action is required.
Drivers are requested to slow down and take care in the area, according to the alert, issued by Fire Rescue Victoria.
An FRV spokesperson said four firefighters are attending the scene.
A CFA spokesperson said two vehicles from the Eaglehawk brigade are on scene.
The cause of the oil spill is not yet known.
Victoria Police members are in attendance.
