Goulburn Murray Water has tweeted a picture of the waste collected last weekend, including several bags of waste, chairs and plastic, across several sites.
GMW Loddon Campaspe storage manager Paul Wakenshaw said it was disappointing members of the public felt it was acceptable to leave rubbish behind when using water storages for free for recreation.
Other news:
Mr Wakenshaw said the clean-up process was resource intensive for staff, and not sustainable in the long term.
He said dumping affected not only staff, but other users experience of the lake, especially from a fishing point of view.
"A lot of it comes back to public safety and water quality," he said.
"Also we provide a facility for everyone to enjoy, and that the minority of people have affected it for the masses."
Mr Wakenshaw asked anyone witnessing littering or dumping to take down details such as registration numbers and report the incident to the Environment Protection Authority hotline on 1300 372 842.
He encouraged the public to respect the Lake Eppalock facilities and take their rubbish with them when they left.
Mr Wakenshaw said Lake Eppalock operated on a carry in - carry out policy with rubbish, because bins in the past had attracted dumping of domestic waste such as mattresses.

He said the location of the rubbish dumping suggested it was day users of the lake, who packed up and left what they didn't wanted.
Mr Wakenshaw said the issue had grown, possibly because Australia was a more disposable society than in the past, while people were reluctant to report others.
