The world number 67 was one of the tennis players who has been vocal about Victoria's hard quarantine.
Badosa's positive test comes as premier Daniel Andrews said Victoria was set to soon announce an increase on the weekly cap of international arrivals.
Victoria has been accepting about 1120 Australians per week since early December.
