La Trobe University has encouraged businesses to sign up for free support program Digital Harvest, saying it will help them gain security in today's economy.
Program director Cerasela Tanasescu encouraged any business from farmers, to small producers to get involved, to see if trying things differently worked for them.

Dr Tanasescu said the program was designed to support businesses modify their models, to negotiate a chaotic economy.
She said e-commerce tools could give businesses more visibility, allow them to sell at higher prices, and give them security, even if they were selling wholesale to big companies.
"The way the economy is done today you have to have several game plans if you want success," Dr Tanasescu said.
