And on Saturday, these items will be looking for new homes, with a clearing sale being held at Mr Dunstan's Sailors Gully property.
Mr Dunstan's son David said his father built the house at the property in 1962 and lived there for most of his life.

Mr Dunstan worked for VicRoads as a day job, but his passion lay elsewhere.
"He was originally an Eaglehawk boy, and his deep passion in life was beekeeping," David said.
"He was actually quite good at it, he knew his stuff."
David said his father was an inventor and maker, and there was a "brilliant" bee loader he built still on a truck at the property.
"It's really interesting to see his inventiveness and what he did," he said.
Mr Dunstan had amassed more than 20 stationary engines, David said, made in such places as Ballarat, Richmond and South Melbourne "at a time when things were made to last".
He hoped the sale meant they would find good homes with people who might be able to resurrect them.
The property also holds a Hillman vehicle from about 1937, David said, and a 1956 Ford truck.
Preparing for the sale has been an opportunity for David to reflect on his childhood, which he describes as a "bloody ball", and where he and his siblings have ended up. "It's been a pretty interesting, emotional journey," he said.
The sale begins Saturday morning, with gates open at 8am.
