With some COVID-19 regulations still in place, the holiday period is looking a little different for many.
Please note: While there are many events on in our region, cancellations, venue and time changes due to COVID-19 might occur.

FREE EVENTS
CIRCUS FUN
Discover the science behind circus with this family fun, school holiday event.
Join in with your friends and the Discovery team while learning the art behind circus tricks and death-defying acts.

There will be two sessions a day, one at 10am and one at 1pm.
Where: Discovery Centre, Railway Place, Bendigo.

BUGS IN THE LENS
Join in with like-minded people and learn new tips and tricks on capturing images of creepy crawlies on camera.
Bring your own phone or camera. Suitable for ages 12 to 16 years.

WRITING AND ILLUSTRATING
Join in with Chris Taylor and James Crabtree, the creators of Tina and Tom's Time-Travelling Toilet series, and learn the processes of writing and illustrating.
This workshop event is aimed at those aged six to 12 years and will feature one-minute draws, cartooning, interactive story creation and much more.

CHILL OUT SPACE
Looking for somewhere to be with your friends these school holidays? Want to keep cool with snow cones?
Head to the Gordon Gardens in Dunolly and design your own t-shirt, enjoy lots of freebies and jam out with music playing the best tunes.
There will also be various sport equipment that you're welcome to try.
Free event.

TROLLS WORLD TOUR
Enjoy a free movie event with your whole family this Friday.
Bring along your chair and picnic rug and enjoy a night watching the family movie, Trolls World Tour.

STEAM SESSIONS
The Maryborough Regional Library is proud to be hosting weekly STEAM (Science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) sessions throughout January.
These sessions are recommended for children aged between eight and 14 years and are free to attend.

Where: Maryborough Regional Library, Nolan Street, Maryborough.
When: Tuesday, January 19 and Monday, January 25, 2.30pm to 3.30pm.

YOUTH HOLIDAY PROGRAM
Hosted by the Macedon Ranges Youth, this holiday program will have children of all ages entertained.
The events will include skate park clinics, pool parties and much more.
All events require registering due to COVID-19 requirements.
Signing in and hand sanitising stations will be at each event, with limited numbers allowed.

DECORATING CLASSES
The Bendigo Pottery decorating classes will be on for an extra week for all children to attend a workshop and learn a new skill.

$25, all ages are welcome to attend.

When: Monday - Friday, until January 22, sessions at 11am, 1pm and 2.30pm.
JUNIOR ARTISANS
Does your child love arts and crafts?
These art workshops are designed for those aged seven to 14 years, with events taking place each weekday.
Workshops will include wire jewellery making, tote bag making, mosaic framing, glass platters, clay figurines and much, much more.
All materials are supplied and COVID-19 safety measures are in place.
$30 per workshop, parents/guardians do not need to attend.
