Between January 3 and 5, 44 vessels were checked on waterways including Lake Boga, Lake Charm, Gunbower Creek at Cohuna, Greens Lake and Waranga Basin.
Infringements were related to marine safety equipment, licenses and registration with eight people failing to wear a personal flotation device, two fined for unlicensed driving, three vessels found to be unregistered and three fines for a lack of required waterproof buoyant torches.

Police were happy to report no hoon offending and will continue to use boats, jet skis, drones and other techniques to ensure that everyone is staying safe on the water.
