A capacity field of 12 and one emergency accepted for the $70,000 Group Two feature, with the Emma Stewart-trained Somewhere Secret a $4.20 favourite when the TAB fixed odds market opened on Tuesday afternoon.
The winner of the Sokyola Sprint at his last start at Ballarat on Boxing Day, Somewhere Secret has drawn gate six at Bendigo.
The consistent Wolf Stride ($4.80) probably would have opened favourite had he not drawn the outside of the second row.
Our Uncle Sam is on the third line of beting at $6.50 after drawing gate 10, while the David Aiken-trained Sirletic ($8.50) is on the outside of the front row.
The only local pacer in the field is the emergency - the Shaun McNulty-trained Guptas Cullen who is a $150 shot and needs a scratching just to get a run.
The Group One $50,000 Aldebaran Park Maori Mile for the trotters has also attracted a quality field.
Despite putting in a rare failure at Melton last start, the Andy Gath-trained Majestuoso opened favourite at $3.40 just ahead of Always Ready ($3.60) and polemarker Dance Craze ($3.80). Red Hot Tooth ($6) and McLovin ($8.50) drew well in gates two and three respectively.
The feature meeting at Lord's Raceway starts at 6.28pm on Saturday. The Maori Mile is race five at 8.35pm, while the Cup is race seven at 9.30pm.
