DEVELOPERS have pitched plans for a staged 97 lot subdivision along the Calder Highway in the third major bid the City of Greater Bendigo's planners have received there in two months.
Traffic consultants hired by developers told city planners the latest subdivision would use two new streets onto Durstons Road, rather than the Highway.
"We are satisfied that these movements can be accommodated within the internal and surrounding road network, and that no additional works are required," they said.
A lot of the existing vegetation at the site would need to be removed but developers said they would not pull out that along a creek close to the highway.
Maiden Gully is one of Bendigo's biggest growth suburbs and the council expects more houses north of the proposed development in the decades to come.
