Police were called to Birds Reef Lane at 1.30am and said they found a woman who had been assaulted and had her keys stolen.
Officers arrested another woman as well as a boy after finding the car in Sunbury seven hours later.

A 16-year-old Mandurang boy has been charged with five offences including aggravated carjacking and theft.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at a children's court at a later date.
An 18-year-old Eaglehawk woman has been charged with seven offences including aggravated carjacking, theft and intentionally causing injury.
She was scheduled appeared before the Bendigo Magistrate's court later on Thursday.
