A CENTRAL Victorian resident has won a brand new truck worth about $57,000 as part of a nationwide competition.
Daniel Scott from Neilborough took part in radio station Triple M's national competition earlier this year.
He accepted the Hino 300 Series Tipper at the Bendigo Truck Centre on Wednesday afternoon.
Bendigo Truck Centre sales manager Robert Bulger said the brand new vehicle would make a big difference for Mr Scott.
"He told me he's on 20 acres of land and although he's done a lot of landscaping around the house, he still has a fair bit to do," Mr Bulger said.

"He also has a few mates out that way that will also be using it. It will make a huge difference in the way he does stuff.
"He goes out and does fire collection and puts a couple of tonne on the trailer and waters all the trees. He's going to buy a tank and put it on the back of the new tipper."
Bendigo Truck Centre dealer principal Euan McGowan said the prize came at the perfect time for Mr Scott and his family.
"It's awesome that it's happening at this time of year," Mr McGowan said. "Our new customer is going to receive a truck for Christmas.
"It's definitely going to put a good spin on the end of the year. It has been such a challenging year."
Mr McGowan said the Bendigo Truck Centre was not actively involved in the competition.
But he said the company was excited to prepare the new tipper truck and deliver it to Mr Scott on behalf of Hino.
"It puts the brand and our name out into the broader community and into Australia," Mr McGowan said. "It's a really good thing for our dealership."
Mr Bulger said it was great to take part.
"It's the first time Hino has ever been involved in something like this," he said. "To put up a truck this large is fantastic."
