
VICTORIA'S COVID-19 case numbers have remained stable, without any new infections diagnosed in hotel quarantine or the community.
It marked the 46th day in a row with zero cases of community transmission.

No deaths were reported. Seven active COVID-19 cases remain in quarantine.

Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton said on Monday that positive results in hotel quarantine were to be expected, with the system was designed on the premise this would happen.
In Victoria's first hotel quarantine program about one in every 100 travelers tested positive during their quarantine period.
The state received a total of 8296 test results to Tuesday.
