TGD Central Vic was made possible thanks to a Trans Gender Victoria, Support for Peer Activities that Revitalise Kinship grant.
The funding aimed to increase health and wellbeing outcomes for trans and gender diverse Victorians by supporting new groups.

Group facilitators Cobaw Community Health saw the need for a TGD support group in Mount Alexander Shire and teamed up with CHIRP Community Health to support community members across the region.
Cobaw project worker Belinda Brain said the health service's are committed to supporting the TGD community across the life span.
"By collaborating with CHIRP, we hope to better connect with our local TGD community and ultimately, hand the reigns to community members, if that's what they want," Ms Brain said.
While Cobaw and CHIRP remain involved in the group, its purpose, direction and shape is driven by community members.
"Together, we can raise awareness and increase the visibility of the TGD rural and regional experience within our local community," CHIRP project worker Sherene Clow said.
TGD Central Vic are meeting on Monday, December 14 at 5pm.
