More news:
Yesterday afternoon, health authorities began urging people living around Daylesford to get tested after COVID-19 fragments were found in waste water.
It follows persistent positive wastewater tests in the Colac area including one this week, and others throughout the state.
People who have or have recently had COVID-19 may shed fragments of the virus and these can enter wastewater through toilets, sinks and drains.
Health authorities have urged anyone with symptoms, "no matter how mild", to get tested, especially those who live in or visited the Daylesford, Hepburn and Hepburn Springs area last weekend.
