BENDIGO Health has updated its visitor policy after months of restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

From Friday, visiting hours at the hospital will be extended to 3pm to 7pm daily.
Adults and children of all ages will allowed to visit, but people must book their visit in advance with the relevant ward.

Bendigo Health has advised there will be a limit of two visitors per patient to ensure physical distancing can be maintained.
All visitors must continue to wear a face masks and will be screened on entry.
Visitors will be allowed to bring flowers into the hospital.
Bendigo Health has also announced the following visitor changes for Women's and Children's Services:
- Women's health clinic - one person per client
- Birthing suite - two support people
- Women's ward - partners and up to two visitors
- Special care nursery - parents only
- Children's ward - parents and two visitors
The hospital has advised specialist areas like the intensive care unit, mental health, palliative care unit, and the emergency department will have further specific guidelines.
The nurse unit manager will direct visitors in those areas.
