Strathfieldsaye will take on White Hills under lights on Friday, December 18, with the inclusion of Flapper a huge coup.
Flapper won a bronze medal in the men's fours at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Flapper will skip one of the Strathfieldsaye rinks.
Strathfieldsaye coach Marc Smith has a long association with Flapper, with the pair having first played state events against each other as far back as 1993.
"We're really excited to have Matt coming to play this game with us. We think with Matt playing on a Friday night, it will be a really good promotion for bowls," Smith said on Thursday.
The Strathfieldsaye-White Hills clash will get under way at 5.45pm, with the night to also include a sausage sizzle.
The inclusion of Flapper adds to what is an already formidable Strathfieldsaye division two side that has its eye set on one goal - promotion to division one.
Strathfieldsaye is the only undefeated team in division two after four rounds and is already a massive +104 shots.
It's that form and the club's clear promotion goal that is going to heap extra pressure on the lower-placed sides in division one, given the genuine threat this season that finishing last could mean relegation.
