Ashwood's win aboard Cinque Amici at Shepparton last Sunday gave the former Tasmanian his 11th winner for the month and put him within one victory of 100 driving wins for the season.
Hargreaves, who finished the month with a Bendigo region-high of 14 winners, needs just three winners to also reach the 100 mark.
Currently sixth on the state trainer's premiership standings with 97 wins, Hargreaves entered the extended 2019-20 season with a previous career-best tally of 24 wins.
Thirty eight of her 97 wins have been achieved in the past three months, including 13 in November.
Ashwood too has easily eclipsed his previous career-best of 66 winners, achieved in 2018-19, boosted by 14 in October and 11 in November.
The 100-win mark for both could be achieved as quickly as Wednesday night at Mildura, where the Hargreaves-Ashwood team has enjoyed incredible success in the past two seasons.
Ashwood has four drives on the program, two of them on the Hargreaves-trained Tay Tay and Elita, who are both short-priced favourites.
The Hargreaves stable will send four horses north, with youngster Jordan Leedham to drive Quamby Reactor and The Knight Star.
Ashwood finished last week's Mildura meeting with a treble, including two for his own training team aboard Lorimermajor and Postal Run.
