A MAN with a disqualified licence has seen the tractor he was driving impounded.
Police officers from the Heavy Vehicle Unit impounded the tractor after it was intercepted in Serpentine on the Loddon Valley Highway, northwest of Bendigo late on Sunday afternoon.
The driver, a 34-year-old Kerang man was found to have a disqualified licence.
The semi-trailer had no brakes connected to it and was also unregistered.
The tractor was impounded at a cost of $1200.
The impound was part of Operation Compass, a policing operation targeting road safety.
Police have been targeting locations and major arterials where they believe law-breaking drivers might be as people from metropolitan Melbourne head into regional Victoria following lockdowns.
This includes behaviour such as speeding, drink and drug driving, people not wearing seatbelts, mobile phone use and fatigue.
