It will be the second day in a row of partial extreme heat timetables on the line.
Thursday
V/LINE passengers have been advised to allow extra time for their journey on Friday with temperatures in the mid-to-high-30s forecast.
A partial extreme heat timetable will be in place on the Bendigo, Maryborough, Echuca and Swan Hill.
Extreme heat timetables may also be put in place on Saturday, depending on the weather forecast.
Other news:
V/Line trains run with speed restrictions at temperatures above 36 degrees to reduce the risk of train and track faults, while keeping passengers safe.
Drinking water will be available on board trains, while passengers are also encouraged to wear cool clothing and travel with bottled water.
