Defence lawyers for a motorist accused of hitting and killing a Wedderburn man and his guide dog are seeking their own expert report, a Bendigo court has heard.

Billy-Jo Salter was charged with dangerous driving causing death on May 31, almost a year to the day after Ray Meadows died.
Mr Meadows, 63, and his guide dog Gerry were walking along the Calder Highway at Wedderburn when they were struck by a vehicle on the morning of June 2, 2019.

Mr Salter appeared at the Bendigo Magistrates' Court on Wednesday for a committal mention.
Defence counsel Eleanor Millar sought an adjournment to allow for an expert collision report.
Ms Millar said the report was expected mid-December, but time was needed to consider the report and have discussions with the prosecution.
Mr Salter is also charged with careless driving, destruction of evidence, perverting the course of justice, failing to drive completely within a marked lane, making a threat to kill, making a threat to destroy property, assault and unlawful assault.
He will return to the court on February 3 next year, and remains on bail.
